Neverrain Listeners,

It's been a long time coming. We've traveled far together...through parallel dimensions, across vast distances made of sound and light, and into the very core of the universe.

This will be our final journey together on Neverrain.

Since 2005 I've released over 40 free mixes. It has required an enormous amount of time, energy, money, and creativity to put together the monthly sets, and I hope that every one of my listeners have been able to walk away with something special.

I have tried to infuse a little bit of my hope & optimism for the human species into each and every minute of music, amidst the deafening chaos of our reality: economic turmoil, environmental destruction, and war. At times we appear to be lost...driven far off course by materialism, incompetent governments, and cultural misunderstandings. We are a species lashing out in the darkness, in a final attempt to try and save ourselves from our own destruction.

The answer to our suffering lies within. The key to our transformation is ourselves. If only we could manage to change our ways, to expand our understanding of the universe, to achieve higher states of consciousness, to regain control of the ship, and steer ourselves back on course....we might be able to fulfill the destiny that we suspect awaits for us. This continues to be my wish, and I believe that music can bring us closer to this transformation.

I want to thank everyone for supporting Neverrain over the past 4 years. Your dedication and feedback have kept me going strong. Although this will be my final Neverrain set, I will continue to DJ live events and produce music. In fact, there may be a CD release at some point in the future.

My desire now is to devote more time to my family, my career, and future artistic endeavors. The energy I put into Neverrain is not gone, it is merely being transmuted into another form. You haven't seen the last of me by a long shot.

Godspeed,
Eric Jordan

    Eric,

Your words are very touching and empathetic of us all. You must have a lot of compassion.

Good luck with your family, I wish you all the happiness possible.

Wow, I can't believe it. This is the last new mix we'll ever hear from NR. You know, it's hard to believe it actually has been 4 years. Well almost - didn't you start in November? I remember the first time I visited this site and it didn't have the "thank you to everyone who attended the Neverrain 03 event" message. To my surprise, it had your first mix Escalation posted up. From that point on, I remember being excited about the future mixes to come. I guess I just took it for granted that you would keep releasing more.
Over the years I have listened to your music to help me get through my A-Level work, my university assignments, though good times and times when I have been struggling. I still love to go back and listen to the older mixes. I have recommended my favourites to friends, and in 2007, I purchased a Neverrain T-shirt. I am going to buy another one now, to show my support.
I think that there can be no doubt you have amassed a wealth of top-quality progressive trance, house and psy-trance over the years, and I look forward to listening to this last one when I get home tomorrow.

    Thank you, Eric!

    Dear Mr. Jordan,

I remember when I was first told by a friend that neverrain.com, a once mysterious website to me, had been revived as a Blogspot blog. Shortly after, the you announced that you would release monthly mixes free of charge, something that excited me to no end. Since Escalation (of which I remember you published two versions, one of which had "Here it never rains in Los Angeles), I have listened to your mixes time and time again while waiting for the start of the month to receive a new one.

I'd like to thank you for the gifts you have given to all of us and the best of luck with future endeavors.

    Posted by: Ethan | August 2, 2009 06:33 PM

Eric, it's rare to find someone whose humility also matches his creativity and fame. Your design and music have been an inspiration for me for a long time.

    I wish you the best.

    Posted by: Jin | August 2, 2009 06:33 PM

I can't wait to see how you'll channel this energy into something else. But I'm sad to know that in 4 weeks, there won't be a kickass track to start the month. I guess I'll have to rediscover some of your early mixes and wait for the next step in the Eric Jordan's evolution. Thanks again !

    Posted by: Ben | August 2, 2009 06:36 PM

Wow, I can't believe I've been listening to you for the last 4 years, it has indeed been a privilege to do so. Thank you so much for all the time and energy you have put into your tracks, you are certainly one of my favourite DJs (I only wish I lived in the US so I could attend a live event). Keep us up to date with your future endeavors, and good luck!

I understand your step man. I was allways looking forward to listen a new mix but I (we) will listen your sets for a long time. You made a good job

Thank you for this last mix, Eric !

I agree with David J Cooper, your words were very touching !
Thank you for theses amazing mixes you released since 2005, this was the perfect sound I needed and I will listen to it again and again in the future :)

Wow, can't believe the Neverrain mixes are coming to an end, I always took it for granted. Thanks for all your hard work and creative output over the years. I've gotten so much millage out of these awesome tracks. Many times have these tracks placed me in the zone, gliding in the aural dimension, leaving a trail of bliss. It's saddening to hear they are now a thing of the past, but we've only got so many hours in a day.

I've always thought how you would manage your time, reading about 2A crew-members making lots of all-nighters... Allthough i (we) will miss your sounds, this is a very wise decision you've made and i've got huge respect for that. I wist you all the best with your career, family and other work in the future. Eric, be sure to keep connected with us as you're a great source of inspiration for us!

Can't wait for your new music productions.
At last, thank you for all journeys through the deepest of emotion, in search of peace. :)

Thanks for everything Eric, indeed your music has always been a caress to my mind, when I had problems either personal or work always relied on your sets. I also think you are a brilliant man, with class and good taste. I admire the kind of person with those qualities. It is a pity to stop this venture, but it is understandable you want to dedicate to other facets of your life to shine them also.

    Greetings from Uruguay and successes...

    Eric,

I've been a fan of your flash and graphics work on 2advanced ever since 2000 and then in 2005 NeverRain was born. It became another source of inspiration for people across the globe. I personally pulled quite a few "allnighters" while listening to your sets while working on projects. Thank you for your dedication and inspiration, I am sure that everyone who has ever visited 2advanced.com and neverrain.com will agree with me!!! Good luck to you with your future endeavors may god bless you and give you inspiration to CREATE!!!

    Peace,

    Sergei

    Eric,

I have downloaded and listened to every single release you've ever made and am really sorry to hear that you'll no longer be releasing mixes. I understand how it goes and appreciate your decisions.

Please do keep us posted with your new movements!

    Always a fan,
    Christopher

    Eric

Thanks for all your hard work putting out these great monthly releases. They were a great source of creativity in a lot of my recent projects. The music will be missed, but it's good that your focusing on other endeavors.

Your awareness about our sorry state of affairs only confirms (to me) that positive change is coming ... only it's going to be a tough road getting there. Keep fighting the good fight. Good Luck!

    Eric,

At a time when nearly all contemporary art failed me, your Neverrain sets and work at 2Advanced Studios became my solace. Thank you.

God bless you and your family.

I have to say it's been one long, wonderous spin Eric.

You're an inspiration to myself and many others. I sincerely thank you for all your time and dedication to Neverrain. Every month for the past two years I waited for that notification e-mail, and now there will be no more. :(

I'm sad, but at the same time, I know we'll hear from you again in another venue. God Bless you and your family and new wife. I wish you all the best!!

I'll be listening to old Neverrain mixes long into the future. Hope you will keep the site up for a while.

Thank you from the bottom of my heart for four years of amazing music. I've cherished ever mix, from Escalation to Shade & Aura Vol. 2, from Neuro to Synthetik.

You've given us 51 hours of the most inspiring, thought-provoking music that has ever come to pass.

For me to say "Thank you," is but a hollow expression limited by the constraint of words and semantics. I think you know what a person feels in their heart when they say this, and that is precisely what I want to convey to you.

You're awesome Eric. Everything you do is awesome.

I just stumbled upon this place after visiting the old 2advanced V3 website, which was what inspired me into getting into web design, and eventually got me where I am, game design.

I'm really glad I clicked that neverrain link. I Just want you to know that your art and music have definitely changed the world. At least it has changed me.

    Thanks, and godspeed too.

    Hi Eric,

Very sad to read you are stopping with providing us with monthly rithme and extacy. But I guess we will all understand your reasons very well and it is a good thing too, giving things that matter the best attention you can.

Thank you so much for the last years and the great musical experience! Respect!

Maybe you could consider using neverrain as a stage for new talent to showcase their skills, having the neverrain audience as a commited community supporting this and listingen to new worlds of music, selected by you.

Keep it up! 'Till we meet/mail/music again!!!

Posting before I listen to it already knowing it will be great. Each month I have followed the journey of Neverrain, and each month I couldn't wait for the next. Now that its over I will be sad. But I know where your coming from.

Just throwing an idea out there. Perhapse guest mixes may be a way of continuing Neverrain. I would totally give it shot and make some album artwork for it as well. Just got Ableton and having fun with it.

So long but not goodbye. Always a fan of 2A and Neverrain.

This is a bitter sweet moment for me, and for all of us whove been here from the early days. I will sure miss the wait, the excitement and the fine blend of sounds mixed and presented nicely and professionally every month, and offered for download, for free! Thats such a nice thing to do. I dont think i know anyone else who does that for his audience and supporters. It sure takes up a lot of time, with your daily routine and all, so it is understandable you have to start focusing more attention to your personal life. So God bless, and wish you and your family all the best!

    Cheers!

    Eric,

It's very inspiring to read how you're approaching this juncture. Though I will miss your Neverrain posts, it's always awed me to see the transformations through which people pass in their lives--I wish you the best of luck in this one!

Also, I hope you'll appreciate that these mixes will be permanent fixtures in my iPod. Your works are immortal.

Thank you for every jewel (set)that you created for us and many successes in all your projects.
Good life for you and Rachel

Eric, your music and your mixes over the years have been phenomenal. I don't know what to say besides, thank you, thank you and thank you.

I discovered you back when you had V2 of the 2Advanced website. I found the background music looping on the site so enticing and enigmatic that I sometimes left the site open in the background while I did other things just to hear it.

I remember when you first launched Neverrain and it had the red and magenta theme and you had a party for the launch. With your music and your work in general, I feel like I've been a part of a journey.

So as Neverrain comes to a close I thank you for your hard work over the years. I wish your family good health and you good luck with whatever comes next in your life.

With the amount of music out there, Beyond was the first mix to be heard by Eric. An amazing piece of Art to the ears and my Ipod. Hearing the news almost as if I lost a family friend because there are some tunes that just plain suck. You will be missed Eric with you fine remixes. From South Florida, Virginia, Cuba, Italy, Iraq, Afghanistan, and now Japan, your music has proven to be top notch. Thanks for the music Eric. Take care.

Your music is so good, wonderful. Every month I have wait of your mix. I will thanks you for your free work (only for the fun) and time that you take for each Mix. Bravo (congratulation). You’re not alone of this philosophy. I too in my association (club in FRANCE), I help people who will have a website. Thanks and good luck.

    Ah, I am deeply saddened!

I remember when I first found Reflekto. Such an amazing track. I would listen to that mix for 8-10 hours on end (mostly while playing World of Warcraft, a shameful habit :P). I even have Reflekto burned to a disc that I play in my car because it is so nice to just 'chill' along with the cooler winter weather that has made it's way to us so soon here in the Midwest (North Dakota, specifically).

I will miss your works, but it's understandable as I said. You have always been an inspiration to me!

    Much love (no homo, haha),
    Chubaka!

Ahh...nostalgia is a wonderful feeling. I remember when I first found 2Advanced V4. That Desert Trance loop was so beautiful, endless, and euphoric. I'd often leave the site open and sit and just listen to that loop. Your work has truly inspired my artistic creativity. Your music is very enticing. I remember when I first heard Attractor. That song really started it all. I hope all goes well in your future, and you can be sure that I'll be one of the first to listen to the new work you release.

    All the best,

    Reaper

PS: I really hope I get to meet you in person. Keep it up man!

I've just find your web and I'm so shocking for what i've got here. It's just a brilliant music. Don't know why you just release it for free. You must be a professional musician that working with a heart. I'm appreciate with your decission to end your journey with neverrain.com. Hope your happiness with your family, your wife, your children. I love you
