September Mix: "Diamond"
Neverrain Listeners,
I apologize for the late release of September's mix, but I have good reasons for the delay.
Last month, on August 23rd (My Birthday), surrounded by the white sands and crystal waters of the Gili Islands in Indonesia, I asked the love of my life to marry me.
Now you understand the reason behind titling my August mix "Engage". :)
Trying to plan a wedding and release my monthly set has proven to be a challenge, but I never want to let my listeners down. I managed to find some time in the chaos of things to put together a September mix that I think you'll enjoy.
And so, a little background:
Nearly 9 years ago, deep within a crowd of dancers, a very special girl saw me DJing behind the turntables in Los Angeles. All she knew about me, was that I was called "DJ Sunrise" and, from what she tells me, she felt the need to meet me.
A year or so later, a friend of mine set me up on a blind date with a girl whom he described as being "very similar to me". I was skeptical, but when I first saw her an amazing feeling came over me. I can't really describe it, other than to say that I couldn't feel my knees, a powerful energy seemed to be in the air, and some sort of inner voice was speaking to me.....
The voice said: "This Will be the One."
As it turns out, this girl happened to be the same girl in the crowd I was spinning for nearly a year earlier, the girl that was compelled to meet me. I've always thought that the Universe works in mysterious ways.....but this was pure evidence that there is very benevolent force, woven into the fabric of existence, which guides us toward Love.
The love of my life is a girl named Rachel Diamond; a talented photographer, a beautiful person, and a very rare and precious soul. Rachel is my everything.
