Listen, I've heard a lot of sets that claim to defy genre, but this one really delivers. Even after only a few minutes, I found myself completely immersed, questioning if I had ever heard anything as fresh, yet familiar. I've struggled with depression over the years. I kinda went into a cocoon after my girl left me last christmas (long story), but your music is helping me cope. I don't know much about 2012 or that history but I'm going to study up. Anyway, keep making mixes!!

The Mayan calendar system, with the Long Count in particular, as always been fascinating to me. While I find the entire Mayan civilization to be radical in terms of sophistication and innovation, the Long Count system is the one true element that has always been of certain importance to me.

Kudos to you for incorporating such an advanced civilization into your music. Love the set.

WOW! What an excellent audio journey in "2012". I agree with you about how the Mayans were 2Advanced. :)
The date December 21st, 2012 A.D. (13.0.0.0.0 in the Long Count), represents an extremely close conjunction of the Winter Solstice Sun with the crossing point of the Galactic Equator (Equator of the Milky Way) and the Ecliptic (path of the Sun), what that ancient Maya recognized as the Sacred Tree. This is an event that has been coming to resonance very slowly over thousands and thousands of years.
I also believe that another evolutionary occurrence will take place in 2012 -- and not the end of the world.
Listening to "Aeon" and "2012" back-to-back really gets the mind going. I haven't felt that tingle since listening to "Shade" & "Aura" back-to-back.

I know we've heard doomsday predictions before, like Y2K, 06/06/06, etc, and I thought they were all crazy, but nothing seems as well supported as December 2012. Also, a once in a 26,000 year event, the alignment of the earth, sun, and center of the galaxy is going to take place, and scientists theorize a pole reversal (which has happened before) which could lead to global catastrophies... Thoughts?

December 12, 2012 may very well be an end of a period that is all. And, a time of great change. What I find in your "auditory painting" of that event is a pre-emptive insight unmatched by anybody today! Great work EJ.

Haven't been to this blog in a long time. I saw the 2012 on the album artwork and went, hang on........... Someone who is awake! If you don't know him already, check out Jordan Maxwell, I have been researching his research for a long time. Also check out project camelot, and David Icke, etc, it will lead to whole other can of worms and other researchers, which delve into all other things and answer the many questions posted here, and if you are like me, your head will be in books from now on, as it is too interesting and disturbing at the same time to ignore. The Mayan calendar is very true, and they have been right all along, so only time will tell. May pay to check out Zeitgeist too if you haven't already heard of it.

Hello, i've been watching 2advanced.com for a few years now, great work, and it was an inspiration to me from the point of quality and standards. Thank you for those sounds, soemtimes relax me while i try to conclude my work. About 2012, 21st of December, yes there are many theories, i'm not that advanced in knowledge although i know what maya and the ancient chinese say. Everything is sorrounded by a big cloud(media&government&religious institutions), despite this i do not need prophecies to tell me that something is going to happen, i feel it in my heart. I do not think world will end, something amazing will happen, i like to think we will transform in what we really are, evolve, leave aside the material and embrace the spiritual and knowledge about us, nature and universe. Too much indiference in the world, pain, envy, hate, war, disease, famine, total lack of human character. And for what? - for a piece of paper we call money. Something is going to happen, as a species we cannot live in indiference anymore. Maybe we'll finnaly conclude that we are not alone in the universe, vatican will reveal his secrets, Atlantis will be rediscovered or revealed, Nibiru, Crossing of the milky way central plain we'll go back to phylosophy and art and love! To be successful with this experiment of human life on earth we have to understand the laws of nature combined with the study of sciences, mathematics and human character. Good luck in all your quests for knowledge and self developement! You are not the only one!

i agree, the world will not end. it's metafore. the world as we know in it's spiritual being will end. the suffering, the contradictions between poor and rich, sickness and health. we are all one ... we are getting our intuiton back. we are nature .. and nature is us. in 2012 SOMETHING will happen that makes us realize this fact, so we can rebuild the worlds society in a more peaceful way. all we do now is consume .. take take take take from mother earth. people are blinded from the truth of your being by too much technology, the filtered news we read and see, and most important the ridiculous religions that rule the world. i could go on for houres ... as the indians,maya's,inka's already knew :) see you all in the new world people, in a few years! be prepared. educate yourself about 2012, BUT don't believe ALL the theories your see and read. form your own opinion and spread the word.
