March Mix: "Responder"

Hello Neverrain listeners,
I am breaking away from my normal style this month to bring you a different kind of mix. This recording is a compilation of old-school and new-school Acid House that I have aquired over the course of the past 12 years. I am beginning with some older progressive tracks (1996), and will be ending with some newer up-tempo, funky house (2006).
I have engineered this mix especially for one person, my brother Ryan...who has been a champ through a difficult surgury this month. Of all types of electronic music, he has always been into the chunky, driving sounds of deep Acid House music. This set is dedicated to him. This is "Responder".
Cheers, RJ. This is for you.

I guess if you're making it for someone other than yourself and your listeners, it's good - if Ryan likes it. Personally, I was only fond of the first few minutes. It reminded me of something of an opener you'd hear at Sensation Black (which I'll be attending this year). The remainder isn't much I have admiration for - non the less - keep mixing.

This is what I dig about you; the stuff you put out is never the same, and always expands my tastes. The fresh beats in March's mix brings me to some new house that I haven't heard.
Keep it spinnin', I'll be listening.

I like it ! Full of energy ! probably because you took some old stuff that kills the "sophistication" for the "power".
My favourite so far are Glisten and the ending from Escalation (last 3 tracks) - the sound is extremely spatial and the mix construction is "clean" and "liquid".

Great stuff man! Can you put together some futuristic techno for your next mix? You know, the kind of end of the world/save the world techno :) Thanks and keep up the great work!!

Eric,
I love all your work!
Even though, it's not my style of music, I still listen your tracks, because it's inspiring me.
I really like the last year ones, (November - December) but all the others are good too!
Well done!
I can't wait the 2A. Site.
Any date roughly when it will be released?
Hope your Brother is all right now!

Thanks to everyone for the support! What an awesome older brother I have! Brings back good memories...Eric and I driving home from space on the 101 thru L.A. @ 5:00am...listening to rough acid house. "Wait a second...it's 5:00am let's stop off in venice, grab a 40 and have a wrestling match on the beach, perhaps go bodysurfing?...great idea."... Thanks EJ! Peace^.
